Blessing Others.....In Rochester

The name of my first book is Blessings in Disguise, and, while our family of 10 wasn't exactly disguised, we had a blast blessing others yesterday at the Ronald McDonald House Charities in Rochester, NY.
Two years ago when Timmy was at Golisano's Children's Hospital in Rochester, Mom ended up staying in the Ronald McDonald house about a half-mile from the hospital. Housing there is provided for families of children who are staying in the hospital. Another thing that they provide is meals. Dinners, and sometimes breakfast, are made by groups who come in and prepare food for the families. About a month ago, Dad signed us up to go up and prepare a meal. I believe the original plan was preparing lasagna, but, the night before last, another group prepared lasagna, so we went ahead with meatballs. It was nice to get to return some of the kindness that the Ronald McDonald charities showed to my family, and a lot of fun just preparing food together for some families with children who were in the hospital up there.

Had a blast, and will definitely enjoy getting to do this again. I would highly recommend doing something like this if you can.
